I know that I’m not alone on this one. To think that I would be the person that can not handle staying in one place for too long leaves me wondering what it would be like to have to do it again? I cant imagine having to go back to a lifestyle that keeps me grounded in one place for too long. I am frightened by that scenario. I love the road, although I love to complain about it just as much. I love exploring a new place when I get there, even though I might not want to go through the hassle of dealing with the public transportation. And I love the inconsistent schedule that my life revolves around, even though I am annoyed that I can’t truly plan ahead for anything. Lock it up?
I fly on airplanes
Posted November 12, 2009 by 2oldhagsCategories: Whats your 20?
Above my desk there is a sheet of paper carefully written out in detail about the six flights I have coming up in the next two months. This is completely normal in my life, and I have to jot them all down or when I get to the airport I might arrive at the wrong terminal. I’ve done that before and its relatively frustrating due to the fact that although I travel on the constant – I can not seem to understand how to: “How do you say?” “Pack Light” I’ve found myself lugging baggage up escalators, into elevators, down stairs and lengthy hallways – not the most fun game to play at the airport, but engaging nonetheless.
Some day I will learn to travel like a pro. Even though they let me glide down the “expert traveler” express lane in the security line – I’m just not there yet.

This is the lake in my hometown. It pretty much takes up the entire town… It’s called:
Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaug
And clearly its name takes up the most of the sign space available.I know!!! Pretty crazy right? Now someone once told me that it means =You fish on your side, I fish on my side, and no one fishes in the middle= Not sure how true it is, but I like it. Somehow I think this makes my town special.

If you can’t handle the heat – will you please leave the kitchen? (or something along those lines)
These three party animals are shown below in the fine act of “face in plate” at a restaurant in Vegas. When we arrived at the late night joint, there was a line to get in (at approx. 3am) -mint. THEN-we glance over to our left and find ONE of these three chikititas out cold. Within the next 15 minutes-while we waited, (NO CLUE whyyyy) the two other ladies decided to follow suit. A sight for sore eyes if you ask me…
but worth laughing at.

Bring a mustache to the party & expect a good night…

Don’t act like you don’t want a mustache band-aid. You do.
I have no idea why we love them, but for some reason they make everything much more fun. The idea behind wearing them this time was that we crashed a friend from Brooklyn’s bachelor party and we had to get into the club w/the bachelor party! We were just following suit – undercover brothers if you will…
Surprise surprise we brought enough for the entire party and took the boys by surprise! They acted too cool, but we both know that they secretly loved it.
Go Vegas Go. Nothing that happens in Vegas stays there anymore – - – fyi.

Get the Snuggie on the tour bus…

Getting excited to see these faces soon… It’s like a little family on the road. Eat, sleep, work & play together – - -My bunk is so excited that I got it a SNUGGIE!!! (Thank you Kaylea Baker – seriously, what more could I EVER ask for?)
Honey Bunches of Oats, Taste the Joy!

Recently a friend of mine (who is lactose intolerant) received some cereal from me – when I last saw him he graciously thanked me for it, and then proceeded to say to me “except for the fact that I’m probably not going to eat it – you are so sweet to think of me” !!!-wait a gosh darn minute here- its still absolutely snackable, and you can’t go on in life NOT eating cereal (How will you ever Taste The JoY??? (I told him) -per my recommendation of Soy/Almond Milk he’s going to give it a shot.
Now that the tour is over, I actually have a moment to write about it! Look how pretty my tent is… I seriously have spent hours upon hours of my life setting up/breaking down and working under this bright beauty – and to be completely honest, I kind of MISS IT!

I was more than apprehensive to start this tour, more so than any other tour I’ve done in the past. So I have to say THANK GOODNESS they paired me up with the best co-worker around! Mr. Justin Davis was truly a pleasure to work with, easy going, fun to be around, cracks me up, and somehow dealt with me for two whole months- – -In addition to my hesitant nature towards the tour, I found out that “Team Honey” was going to be hitting markets such as Texas, California, and even Boston MA!~ My team was labled “Team SPOON” (don’t hate) – and our schedule called for east coast and not much hype. I began to think that my summer was in the gutter.
Luckily, in addition to my right hand man JDavis, I have gained the friendships of the “HBO groupies” or “My boys” Jan, Dan, Dmitry and Joe were 4 guys that go to the University of Delaware- and happened to work w/me for the summer! They were so great to work w/that I secured them for two more events w/HBO – and had a reason to go to work in the morning! Not to mention that they were w/me through the madness that is Artscape in Baltimore, MD -they stood by my side as I was crushed under my very own lift gate, and some drunks laughed as I bled, they managed to make it out of NJ alive, cars stuck in mud, tents almost blowing away, and lastly Ohio’s Musikfest – filled w/heat, lots of polish/polka music and neverending days. We had a great addition (Melissa) and she’s like one of the boys, so shes in! (Below; Myself, Dmitry and Jan) -i miss-

I was also able to meet up w/an old friend Sammy V! (and met her Burts bee’s co-workers who kick butt) …The BPgas tour team, w/Brent-we found out we have some mutual friends (small world!!!) The Char-broil team- who I met ON the highway, and told them we were having a bbq and needed them to come through w/the meat! (they did, and they rock!) – “The other white meat tour” in a couple markets, and of course multiple VZ wireless street teams – giving HBO some shoutouts on the mic!
Now I have to also say that a BIG part of this tour experience went hand in hand w/the Lunchables tour team. Serioulsy, what would I have done w/out them!?!? They are still on the road at the moment – but if I could put them in my pocket and take them w/me I would. Matt, Chad, Joseph and Jarek think they are the coolest kids in town – and I Agree!
) We worked the taste of Minnesota, Hot Air Balloon festival and the Ohio State fair together- – - but our New York City adventures outweighed them all! I love these guys, each for their amazing qualities. BUT mostly becuase they sing and dance about crackers, meat, and cheese. I can’t find the youtube link – but I’ll post it when I do. Sooooooooooo funny “Turkey and Cheddar time”
I have to say that one of the things that started out HORRIBLY, ended up being Not So Bad at all – I AM REALLY good at driving a box truck now – holler. (see below; in all its glory)

Ok, longest post of my life, I know. Last story – of my 2month recap, is the last day of tour we had to clean/pack up everything as usual, but do it after rain storms. Normally this is no big deal, but because I am OCD – EVERYTHING had to be cleaned to max, broken down, wiped down, scrubbed out, organized and ready for decommission up in Maine! After quite a few hours of this madness going down – “My Boys” are no where to be found? and I am more than upset about it -commenting “Couldn’t they have just waited to go off and have fun” “Where the heck are they?” and low and behold out of no where – pops up JAN and DAN w/champagne in hand, as it sprays all over my face, hair, clothes and JDavis too! Nowwwww I love them even more. GREAT way to end the tour you fools. HBO forevers. xx
